Congressman Morgan Luttrell, representing Texas' 8th District since 2023, shared several thoughts on recent political and defense issues on his social media platform. His posts, mainly focusing on immigration, military, and fiscal responsibility, were made in April 2025.
On April 15, Luttrell commented on the immigration situation during the Biden administration versus the current administration. He stated, "Under Biden, 184,241 illegal aliens were released into our country in just 71 days. Under @POTUS that number dropped to 9. The difference is strong Republican leadership."
The following day, April 16, he emphasized the importance of military strength and industrial enhancement for national security. He stated, "A strong, modern military backed by a revitalized industrial base is the deterrent. That’s how we keep America safe."
Later on the same day, Luttrell highlighted an action by President Trump regarding fiscal policies. He posted, "President Trump is taking action to protect your tax dollars. Yesterday’s EO ensures illegal aliens cannot receive benefits under the Social Security Act."
Congressman Luttrell, born in Houston, Texas in 1975, currently resides in Magnolia. He graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2000 with a BS degree. His career in the U.S. Congress began in 2023 after replacing the previous member, Kevin Brady.
