Dan Crenshaw discusses tariffs, cartel drones, and art competition in recent tweets

U.S. Congressman Dan Crenshaw, who represents Texas' 2nd district, recently shared a series of updates on social media regarding his legislative activities and community engagements. Crenshaw, born in Aberdeen, Scotland, in 1984, has been serving in Congress since 2019. His recent posts discuss issues ranging from international tariffs to local youth competitions.

On April 5, 2025, Crenshaw posted a summary of his weekly update, which includes an analysis of various political matters. In his tweet, "This week's SITREP is out— I break down President Trump's new tariffs, the executive order that finally puts federal unions in check, and RFK Jr rightsizing HHS. Also: why JD Vance went to Greenland, what's behind the proxy voting fight in the House, and how Tuesday's elections."

On April 7, 2025, Crenshaw addressed the issue of drone usage by cartels at the U.S.-Mexico border. He noted, "For years, the cartels have used drones to scout our border so they can traffic drugs and people north. This is just the most recent case. I'm finalizing legislation that will require coordination with the Mexican government to restrict drone activity along the border and give."

Later on the same day, Crenshaw reached out to high school students from his district, Texas' 2nd, regarding the Congressional Art Competition. His post read, "High schoolers in TX-02—this one's for you: Just a few days left to enter the Congressional Art Competition! This is your chance to have your work hang in the U.S. Capitol. No pressure... but that's kind of a big deal. Deadline: April 10 Drop off your piece at our offices."
