He cited White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller's breakdown of President Trump's legal measures as noteworthy. The following day, March 18, Crenshaw tweeted about an exchange involving Tom Homan and a reporter questioning the use of historical laws in modern contexts. The tweet quoted Homan's response defending the relevance of such laws by comparing them to the Constitution: "Lib reporter: 'How can you use a 200 year old law to circumvent due process.' Tom Homan: 'It’s not as old as the Constitution. We still pay attention to that don’t we?' *mic drop*"
