Dan Crenshaw criticizes 'woke left' and supports Trump's executive actions

Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 2nd district since 2019, has recently shared his views on various topics through a series of tweets. Known for his conservative stance, Crenshaw has been vocal about cultural and political issues.

On January 28, 2025, Crenshaw criticized what he perceives as a tactic of the "woke left" to attack cultural icons. He stated: "Then don’t accept the role. Go be divisive and woke in some other lame movie role that no one cares about. This is always the tactic of the woke left: attack the cultural icons that would otherwise bring us together."

The following day, January 29, 2025, Crenshaw expressed support for an executive action by former President Trump aimed at blocking taxpayer funding for hospitals that transition minors. He tweeted: "Absolutely incredible executive action from Trump. I’ve been pushing legislation in Congress to block taxpayer funding for hospitals that transition minors. I’m pleased to see this first step that seeks to block federal programs from covering these procedures for minors and…"

Later on January 29, 2025, Crenshaw thanked CNN for portraying him as a proponent of common sense in debates over transgenderism and military readiness. He commented: "I want to thank CNN for making me the face of common sense in the debate over transgenderism and military readiness. After I defended President Trump’s EO—that service members who undergo gender transition surgery are not deployable and weaken military readiness—Kaitlan Collins…"
