On December 5, 2024, Rep. Crenshaw highlighted actions by Mexico against the Sinaloa cartel's fentanyl operations. He praised President Sheinbaum and Secretary of Interior Security Omar Harfuch for their bold measures. Crenshaw suggested that these developments, combined with Donald Trump's return to the White House, might signal significant challenges for cartels.
