City of Bunker Hill Village issued the following announcement on Feb 26.
As you may be aware, the City of Houston has issued a Boil Water Notice due to a major break in a water line on the east side of Houston. The City of Bunker Hill owns and operates our own separate water system and is NOT part of this notice.
Our City does purchase a portion of our water from the City of Houston but we were not receiving water from the City of Houston at the time of their break. In addition, we have closed all valves from the City of Houston lines to prevent receiving any Houston water until their source has been tested and proven safe.
Our water wells have sufficient capacity to supply the needs of our city and our water is safe for drinking.
