On July 3, 2025, Rep. Hunt highlighted a significant moment from World War II by referencing the iconic image of “Six U.S. Marines raised the American flag atop Mount Suribachi during one of the fiercest battles of World War II.” He emphasized the enduring spirit of those who fought at Iwo Jima, noting that “The Battle of Iwo Jima cost thousands of lives, but the spirit of those who fought endures in every stitch of our flag.”
The following day, July 4, 2025, he marked Independence Day by celebrating America’s history and resilience. In his post, he stated that “Today marks 249 years of American grit, unity, and sacrifice.” He further added that freedom was earned through the efforts of patriots in uniform and expressed pride in America as “the greatest Nation on Earth.”
Later on July 4th, Rep. Hunt addressed a pressing issue affecting his home state. He mentioned being actively involved with managing a natural disaster situation by stating “I’m closely monitoring the flooding situation in Kerville, Texas.” He assured constituents that he had been coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure immediate rescue operations for those affected.
