Rep. Wesley Hunt, who has represented Texas’s 38th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, recently addressed several significant issues through his press office’s social media account.
On June 6, 2025, the press office commemorated a pivotal moment in history by marking “81 years since D-Day—one of the most consequential days in human history.” The tweet recalled how on June 6, 1944, thousands of Allied forces initiated an operation on Normandy’s beaches that significantly impacted World War II and contributed to liberating Europe from tyranny.
Later that day, the office announced positive economic news by reporting “139K jobs were added in May!” The tweet highlighted that this figure surpassed the goal of 130K and credited President Trump with fulfilling his promise to bolster American employment opportunities.
In another post, Rep. Hunt’s office responded to academic concerns by noting that “Harvard president sends letter criticizing Trump Administration for their incentive to vet foreign students!” The tweet criticized Harvard for its refusal to disclose a list of foreign students and argued that such transparency is reasonable and common sense.
Wesley Hunt was born in Houston, Texas in 1981 and continues to reside there. At age 41, he remains active in legislative matters pertinent to his district and national policy.
