Rep. Wesley Hunt, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’s 38th District since 2023, has recently shared his views on social media regarding incidents of anti-Semitism and related issues. Born in Houston, Texas in 1981, Hunt currently resides in his hometown and actively engages with matters affecting his constituents and broader national concerns.
On May 22, 2025, Rep. Hunt criticized what he perceives as a lack of response from Democrats to recent acts of anti-Semitic violence. He stated that “Democrats won’t even speak out when anti-Semitic terror strikes just blocks from their doorstep,” describing it as “shameful silence in the face of hatred.” He emphasized solidarity with Israel and condemned pro-Hamas groups for spreading fear here.
In another post on the same day, Hunt highlighted an incident involving an Orthodox Jewish Columbia graduate who was allegedly removed from her position at the school newspaper for speaking against anti-Semitism after October 7th. He labeled this action as “academic tyranny” and accused institutions of silencing those who expose anti-Semitism here.
Later that day, Hunt reported on the murder of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim by a domestic terrorist, describing it as a “sickening act of anti-Semitic hate.” Expressing solidarity with the Jewish community, he declared that America’s values are under attack by radicals responsible for such actions here.
Hunt’s statements underscore his commitment to addressing anti-Semitism and supporting affected communities both locally and nationally.
