Rep. Wesley Hunt, serving Texas’s 38th District since 2023, has taken to social media to address significant national security and immigration issues. His tweets reflect on historical military operations and current immigration enforcement actions.

On July 9, 2025, Rep. Hunt commemorated a pivotal moment in military history with his tweet: “On May 2nd, 2011, Operation Neptune Spear took out Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden. The elimination of the notorious terrorist leader is a pivotal moment in modern military history.” He paid tribute to the servicemen involved in this operation, emphasizing their bravery in neutralizing a significant threat.

The following day, July 10, Rep. Hunt addressed immigration enforcement by tweeting about an arrest made by ICE: “ICE arrests an illegal migrant who is an MS-13 gang member wanted in El Salvador for 5 murders!” He criticized Democratic policies by stating that they continue to protect criminal migrants while ICE and Border Patrol work towards national security.

In another tweet on the same day, he continued his critique of Democratic actions concerning immigration: “ICE is carrying out the law, under direct orders from President Trump.” He accused Democrats of siding with criminal migrants over American safety and described them as the real threat to democracy by hindering law enforcement efforts.

Wesley Hunt was born in Houston, Texas in 1981 and currently resides there at age 41.
