Wesley Hunt, serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’s 38th District since 2023, has been actively engaging with his constituents and the public through various statements made on social media. The following tweets reflect some of the recent issues addressed by Hunt’s press office.
On June 3, 2025, Hunt’s office raised concerns about President Joe Biden’s use of an autopen for signing documents. They stated, “It is not a matter of whether Joe Biden used the autopen—it’s about whether he knew he was using the autopen!” The tweet emphasized that an investigation into this matter is ongoing and expressed public anticipation regarding who was managing governmental affairs during these instances.
The next day, on June 4, 2025, another tweet from Hunt’s press office focused on a controversy involving a Columbia University student. The post alleged that an anti-Semitic student had connections to Hamas’ al-Qassam Brigades militant group. It read: “Anti-Semitic Columbia student allegedly had a direct link to Hamas’ al-Qassam Brigades militant group!” The statement criticized what it described as radical leftist defense of pro-Hamas groups under the guise of free speech.
Later on June 4, another tweet highlighted a legal case involving an illegal immigrant from India who was sentenced to prison for defrauding elderly Americans. According to the post: “An illegal alien from India has now been sentenced to 12 years in prison for scamming Elderly Americans out hundreds of thousands of dollars.” The message criticized sanctuary city policies for enabling such individuals to obtain driver’s licenses and suggested that Democratic city officials were acting against public interests.
Hunt, aged 41 and born in Houston in 1981, continues to reside in his hometown while addressing various national and local issues through his platform.
