Rep. Wesley Hunt, representing Texas’s 38th District since 2023, shared a series of tweets addressing various issues. Born in Houston in 1981, Hunt has been vocal on topics ranging from sports competitions to national security.
On July 8, 2025, Hunt tweeted about an incident at Wisconsin’s Road National Championship. He stated: “ALERT: USA Cycling left off the name of a biological male so that other competitors would not know. Last week at Wisconsin’s Road National Championship a biological male once again took first place from a biological woman.”
Later that day, he reflected on the events of September 11, 2001. In his tweet, he wrote: “On September 11, 2001, our nation endured an unthinkable tragedy, the deadliest act of terror on American soil. Thousands of innocent lives were lost, including the courageous first responders who ran toward danger to save others. In the wake of heartbreak, America stood tall.”
On July 9, Hunt criticized Democrats for their legislative actions concerning immigration enforcement agencies. He tweeted: “Instead of toning down their violent rhetoric, Democrats decided to introduce a bill that doubles down and puts ICE agents at risk. This comes following back-to-back attacks on ICE and border patrol agents who are just enforcing federal law.”
Hunt continues to reside in Houston while actively participating in legislative matters.
