Tom Oliverson, M.D., a Republican member of the Texas State House representing District 130 since 2017, recently used his social media platform to thank Governor Greg Abbott for actions supporting law enforcement contracts and to share a personal encounter with Robert Kennedy Jr.
On August 25, 2025, Oliverson posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Thank you Gov. @GregAbbott_TX for protecting neighborhood law enforcement contracts for the vast majority of unincorporated Harris County and ISD’s that depend on them. I sincerely appreciate your strong record of standing against defunding of law enforcement. #txlege https://t.co/IIqMCHoAns”. Later that day, he followed up with another message expressing continued gratitude: “Thank you Gov. @GregAbbott_TX for your continued support! #txlege https://t.co/esvjVHszgd”.
Three days later, on August 28, 2025, Oliverson shared an update about meeting a prominent public figure: “Today I had a chance to meet one of my heroes! @RobertKennedyJr #MAHA #txlege https://t.co/h1c7YnqPaf”.
Oliverson has served in the Texas State House since his election in 2017, when he succeeded Allen Fletcher as representative for District 130.
