Tom Oliverson, M.D., posted a series of messages on his X account between September 22 and September 24, 2025, covering topics ranging from youth political engagement to healthcare consolidation and childhood cancer awareness.
On September 22, Oliverson wrote about his participation at a youth event: “Honored to speak at @texyouthsummit this weekend! The energy of thousands of young conservatives ready to lead and defend our nation gives me hope for America’s future.”
The following day, he turned attention to health advocacy, stating: “Every child deserves the chance to grow and play freely. Join me in supporting families affected by childhood cancer this Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and help raise awareness for lifesaving research.” This post coincided with ongoing national efforts during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
On September 24, Oliverson highlighted findings from a new report on healthcare trends: “New GAO report of physician employment and healthcare consolidation reveals hospital-employed physicians account for most of consolidation in market (47%), more so than insurer-owned or PE (only 6.5%) Also very interesting data on office based facility”. The referenced GAO report addresses current shifts in physician employment models and market consolidation within the U.S. healthcare sector.
Oliverson has served as the Republican representative for Texas’s 130th House district since being elected in 2017, succeeding Allen Fletcher.
