Tom Oliverson, M.D., a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 130th district since 2017, posted several statements on his social media account on April 9, 2026, addressing both political opposition and public grant opportunities.

In one post from that day, Oliverson criticized political opponents by stating, “The left just keeps getting weirder. Unfit to lead in Texas.” (April 9, 2026). Later the same day, he continued his criticism of Democrats with another statement: “This is what Democrats stand for. And of course ‘auto pen’ shenanigans. Vote wisely.” (April 9, 2026).

In addition to his political commentary, Oliverson also shared information about a new funding opportunity for water infrastructure projects. He wrote: “The application period is now open for the Water Supply and Infrastructure Grant (WSIG) through the @TXBD. This opportunity provides 100% grant funding for eligible water supply and infrastructure projects that support reliability and long-term planning. Applications are due” (April 9, 2026).

Oliverson has served in the Texas State House since replacing Allen Fletcher in 2017.
