Tom Oliverson, M.D., a Republican who has represented Texas’s 130th House district since 2017, posted several statements on his social media account between August 10 and August 12, 2025. His posts addressed legislative actions and expressed support for Israel.

On August 11, 2025, Oliverson wrote: “Texas must stand for historical and biblical truth. That’s why I filed HB 295 to prohibit state agencies from calling Judea and Samaria the “West Bank” in official materials—a term that distorts history and misrepresents Texas’s steadfast support for Israel. #txlege https://t.co/Nc30E6jzbQ”.
