Tom Oliverson, M.D., a Republican who has represented Texas’s 130th House district since 2017, recently shared several posts on his Twitter account addressing healthcare policy and legislative action.
On May 7, 2026, Oliverson posted a message of gratitude to another physician: “Thank you @MaryBowdenMD!!”
The following day, on May 8, he commended unspecified efforts with another brief post: “Outstanding work!”
Later that same day, Oliverson addressed broader legislative issues related to healthcare programs. He wrote: “Congressional action is the cure here, though state legislatures can lead on this issue too through transparency legislation and by opposing any bills that require guaranteed acceptance or expand the reach of the program. Join me at @NCOILorg in Boston this Summer as I introduce”.
Oliverson was elected to the Texas State House in 2017 after succeeding Allen Fletcher. As a member of the Texas legislature, he has focused on health-related policy initiatives during his tenure.
