Tom Oliverson, M.D., a Republican elected to the Texas State House in 2017 to represent the state’s 130th House district, recently used his social media platform to address issues ranging from educator appreciation to public safety and chemical regulation.
On May 5, 2026, Oliverson posted a message directed at educators in his district and beyond: “To every educator across #HD130 and beyond: thank you. Your dedication shapes the next generation of Texans, and our community is better because of you. A heartfelt thank you to the teachers of @CyFairISD, @TomballISD, and @WallerISD for all you do. And a special shoutout to my https://t.co/Df9HFaCz1e”.
The following day, on May 6, Oliverson commented on the availability of synthetic chemicals in convenience stores: “100%. These are dangerous synthetic chemicals that should not be available in every convenience store next to the tall boys. Thanks for your leadership on this @electcharles ! https://t.co/UJuoqkVzKO”.
Later that same day, he addressed legislative developments regarding fiber optic requirements and flood warning policies: “Good to see us recognizing the problems with the original bill’s fiber optic requirements, I also stand in support of the joint statement by @Burrows4TX and @DanPatrick. The flood warning sirens are extremely good policy and without a doubt will save lives! Well done https://t.co/mJ5ReBGeat”.
Oliverson has represented Texas’s 130th House district since succeeding Allen Fletcher in 2017.
