On June 14, 2025, Rep. Hunt shared a post expressing sympathy following a tragic incident involving the death of Minnesota Representative Melissa Hartman and her husband. He stated: “BREAKING: Massive Manhunt underway after man posses as a police officer and kills Minnesota Rep. Melissa Hartman and her husband.” He extended his “deepest condolences to the friends and families of the victims,” emphasizing that their “thoughts and prayers continue to go out” during this difficult time.
Later that day, on June 14, he addressed comparisons being made between an Army Anniversary parade and North Korean military displays. He commented: “Radical leftists are actually comparing today’s 250th Army Anniversary parade to North Korea—seriously?” Rep. Hunt highlighted the differences by stating that unlike North Korea where dissent is not tolerated, “In America, you’re free to criticize, march, or speak your mind.”
On June 15, Rep. Hunt took a moment to acknowledge Father’s Day with a message celebrating fathers’ roles in family life. He expressed: “Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible Dads – the steady presence behind so many strong families.” He recognized fathers for their support and guidance while appreciating how they contribute strength to future generations.
