Morgan Luttrell, a Congressman representing Texas' 8th district since 2023, has recently shared his views on several significant issues via social media. His statements reflect concerns about border security, cartel violence, and the impact of fentanyl in the United States.

On March 3, 2025, Luttrell announced a significant decrease in illegal entries into the United States. He attributed this decline to effective border security measures implemented by President Biden. "Illegal entries plummet to LOWEST IN DOCUMENTED HISTORY!! This is what happens when @POTUS takes our border security seriously."

Later that day, Luttrell commented on Mexico's extradition of 29 cartel leaders, including an individual implicated in the murder of a DEA agent. He acknowledged this as progress but emphasized that efforts must continue to dismantle drug trafficking networks. "Mexico extraditing 29 cartel leaders, including the man behind a DEA agent’s murder, is a major step forward. But the fight against cartel violence and drug trafficking isn’t over."

On March 4, 2025, Luttrell addressed the issue of fentanyl-related deaths among young Americans. He highlighted the role of Chinese chemicals in producing fentanyl and accused China of exacerbating the crisis for profit. He noted that President Biden is taking steps to hold China accountable for its actions. "The #1 killer of young Americans isn’t accidents or disease—it’s fentanyl made with Chinese chemicals."
