Due to expected extreme cold weather in Washington, D.C., the Second Presidential Inauguration of Donald Trump on January 20, 2025, will see changes in its schedule and logistics. The swearing-in ceremony, including the Oath of Office, inaugural prayers, and speeches, is now set to take place indoors at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda. This move aims to ensure the safety of attendees amid severe weather conditions.

For public accommodation, Capital One Arena will broadcast a live feed of both the ceremony and the Presidential Parade. President Trump plans to join attendees at the arena after the swearing-in ceremony.

A weather advisory for Inauguration Day predicts temperatures in the low 20s with wind chills around 10°F and winds reaching up to 30 mph. Attendees are advised to dress warmly and prepare for prolonged exposure if attending outdoor events.

Security measures include checkpoints at both the Capitol Rotunda and Capital One Arena. Early arrival is recommended to allow time for security screening. For updates on public transportation, attendees can visit WMATA’s website.

This event is described as a "historic event" marking "a pivotal moment for our nation." Further updates will be provided as Inauguration Day approaches.
