City Of Houston issued the following announcement on Dec. 9.
Please attribute the following statement to Mayor Sylvester Turner.
“There have been about 200 road rage incidents reported in the greater Houston area. Several law enforcement agencies are coordinating to significantly reduce that number and ensure that offenders face serious consequences, including criminal charges and the possibility of losing the vehicle used to commit the crime.
The partnership will consist of the Houston Police Department, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Harris County District Attorney’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The state’s involvement does not extend beyond the road rage task force.”
