City Of El Lago issued the following announcement on March 27
Due to the COVID-19 threat and in consideration for the safety of AmeriWaste employees, we have been asked to temporarily change how we contain our trash and recycling. The following changes should begin as soon as possible, and is mandatory as of next week.
1) No loose trash in cans will be accepted.
2) All trash and recyclables must be tied up in plastic bags.
3) All recyclables must be in clear or white bags so it can be identified for recycling.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your help in keeping everyone safe during this tough time.
