Steve Toth, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing District 15 since 2019, has used his social media platform to discuss legislative measures and his views on gender policies in public facilities.

On August 28, 2025, Toth announced an amendment related to Senate Bill 8. He wrote: “My Amendment on SB 8 brings the penalty to $25,000 for the first offense and $125,000 against Democrat run municipalities that allow biological males in our daughter’s bathrooms, locker rooms and showers. Our daughter’s deserve our protection and not equivocation with confused”.

Later that day, Toth acknowledged a supporter by posting: “Thanks for joining Brian.”

The following morning, he continued to express concern about bathroom access policies. On August 29, 2025, he stated: “Democrats just don’t understand why we don’t want men in our daughter’s bathrooms, changing areas and showers. #TXLege”.

Toth has served as a state representative since succeeding Mark Keough in 2019. His recent posts reflect ongoing debates within Texas over public facility access policies based on gender identity.
