Steve Toth, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 15th district since 2019, posted a series of tweets on September 13, 2025, addressing education and recent controversies involving teachers in Texas.

In his first post at 00:07 UTC, Toth shared his meeting with another public figure: “Great to sit down with @SaraGonzalesTX today”.

Later that day, at 01:31 UTC, Toth commented on actions taken by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), stating: “The TEA takes a stand against teachers who condoned the assassination of Charlie Kirk. These people are insanely hateful and violent and have no place in the lives of Texas Children.”

In a subsequent tweet at 04:18 UTC, he criticized some educators for not focusing on core subjects and expressed concerns about their views on gender: “Sadly, they just refuse to listen. Teach to read, write, math, history and science (maybe not science, since too many of you think there are more than 2 sexes). Leave our kids alone.”

Toth has served as the representative for Texas’s 15th House district since succeeding Mark Keough in 2019.
