Steve Toth, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 15th district since 2019, posted a series of tweets in January 2026 addressing issues related to free speech and political expression.

On January 11, 2026, Toth criticized what he described as censorship in the United Kingdom. He wrote: “Hey US Leftists, if you want to see what real fascism looks like, see the U.K. where you get thrown in jail for offensive posts. If you want to see what it isn’t, walk outside and take a fresh breath of freedom. Then thank the good Lord you’re in the U.S. of A.”

In a subsequent tweet on January 13, 2026, Toth referenced another user by stating: “Just ask @ShawnRyan762”.

The following day, on January 14, 2026, Toth expressed gratitude towards two prominent political figures with the message: “Thank you @potus @realDonaldTrump”.

Toth has served as a state representative since his election in 2019, succeeding Mark Keough in Texas’ 15th House district.
