Rep. Wesley Hunt’s Press Office, representing Texas’s 38th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, shared updates on crime enforcement and federal policy outcomes in a series of posts on August 25 and 26, 2025.
On August 25, the office posted about recent law enforcement efforts in Washington D.C., stating, “DC Crackdown presents amazing results: -439 illegal criminals have been arrested -6 known gang members arrested -2 MISSING children returned to their families -49 homeless encampments removed Our nation’s capital will be clean, safe, and beautiful!”
The following day, another post highlighted ongoing actions by federal authorities: “U.S. Marshals continue to crack down on crime in DC. Just last night over 100 criminals were arrested including one guy who was arrested for carjacking. He claimed every time he was arrested DC judges released him after 3 days. Not anymore!” This message referenced repeated releases of suspects by local courts.
In a separate post on August 26 regarding environmental policy and electric school buses, the press office commented on a recent bankruptcy affecting transportation initiatives: “Biden Administration’s Green agenda FAILS. One of Kamala Harris’ campaign slogans, “who doesn’t love a yellow school bus,” slumps after 1600+ electric school buses go idle following the company’s bankruptcy.”
Wesley Hunt has represented Texas’s newly created 38th congressional district since his election victory in 2022 over Duncan Klussmann and again in 2024 against Melissa McDonough. Hunt was born in Houston in 1981 and continues to reside there.
