Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office marked the second anniversary of the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack on Israel with a series of statements on social media, highlighting ongoing concerns about antisemitism and recent developments in Middle East diplomacy.
On October 7, 2025, the account posted: “Today marks the second anniversary of the horrific and unprovoked attack by Hamas on the State of Israel.
Since those deadly attacks, there has been a significant rise in antisemitism around the world—on college campuses, and in even acts of terror in our own capital.
For all”.
Two days later, on October 9, 2025, Rep. Hunt’s office expressed support for former President Donald Trump’s approach to international affairs: “Thank God for President Trump who stands for PEACE, defends our ally Israel, and fights for the safe return of every innocent hostage.
America stands for freedom, for peace, and for the courage to do what’s right.  That’s the Trump Doctrine.”
Shortly after that post on October 9, another message was shared announcing an agreement between Israel and Hamas: “PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH.
President Trump has secured a peace deal between Israel and Hamas. All hostages will be released as the first phase of the deal has been signed.
Thank you, Mr. President!”
Wesley Hunt has served as U.S. Representative for Texas’s 38th District since 2023 after winning elections in both 2022 and 2024 against Duncan Klussmann and Melissa McDonough respectively (Fact 1; Fact 2; Fact 3). Born in Houston in 1981, Hunt continues to reside there (Fact 4).
The referenced events follow two years after a major escalation in violence between Hamas and Israel that began on October 7, 2023—a conflict which drew global attention to security issues in the region as well as rising concerns over antisemitic incidents worldwide.
