Hunt has served in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’s 38th District since 2023.
On July 11, 2025, the office reported widespread cooperation among state agencies and volunteers: “In the past week: – 2,200 State Agencies sent Response personnel – Over 12,300 Volunteers – Over 861,000 Hours – 19 States have sent resources This is Unity.”
The following day, July 12, 2025, the office marked the anniversary of the Apollo II moon landing with a historical reflection: “In 1969, America won the race to the moon. As millions of people watched Apollo II make it to the moon, the world knew that this was a moment in history that would never be forgotten. As Neil Armstrong’s famous line goes, ‘That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for…'”
On July 13, 2025, Rep. Hunt’s office referenced an event from Butler, Pennsylvania involving former President Trump: “One year ago, by the grace of God, President Trump’s life was spared, and so was our nation. Butler, PA was a turning point. Bloodied but unbroken, he stood tall, a testament to his strength and God’s protection over America. This is American Pride Month.”
