Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office posted a series of tweets on September 12, 2025, highlighting former President Donald Trump’s influence among young people, his economic record, and recent trends in inflation and interest rates.
In the first tweet at 13:34 UTC, the account stated: “President Trump talks about Charlie Kirk’s magic among the youth. Freedom of speech is built into the foundation of America. Our country needs people like Charlie Kirk, people who are not afraid to share a difference of opinion, to listen, and debate those who disagree.”
A subsequent tweet at 13:36 UTC praised Trump’s economic leadership: “Success is going to bring us together. President Trump had the best economy in the world during his first term. He rebuilt the military, cut taxes and grew the economy tremendously. Now he’s doing it again.”
At 13:53 UTC, another post addressed monetary policy and recent economic changes: “Jerome “too late” Powell needs to cut interest rates. Joe Biden had the worst economy in the world. Biden’s inflation rates were through the roof, now under President Trump inflation is down. Gas prices are down, egg prices are down, and the stock market is soaring.”
Wesley Hunt has served as U.S. Representative for Texas’s 38th District since 2023 after winning elections in both 2022 and 2024 by significant margins against Duncan Klussmann and Melissa McDonough respectively. Hunt was born in Houston in 1981 and continues to reside there.
