On September 11—the anniversary of the terrorist attacks—Hunt’s office posted: “On this 24th anniversary of 9/11, we bow our heads in remembrance of the lives stolen, we lift up the heroes who rose from the ashes, and we honor the unbreakable strength of the American spirit. Wesley Hunt has represented Texas’s 38th District in Congress since 2023 after winning elections in both 2022 and 2024 by significant margins over Duncan Klussmann and Melissa McDonough respectively. Born in Houston in 1981 and currently residing there at age 41, Hunt continues to be an active voice on legislative matters as well as issues concerning national security and commemoration events.
