Rep. Wesley Hunt’s press office posted a series of tweets highlighting recent military actions and incidents involving undocumented immigrants, focusing on national security and law enforcement concerns.
On July 20, 2025, the account reported on a recent U.S. military operation: “On June 22, 2025, the United States Air Force and Navy struck a decisive blow for freedom and global security with ‘Operation Midnight Hammer’ In a mission that will go down in history, our forces unleashed a 30,000‑pound bunker‑buster from a stealth bomber, flown by the bravest” (posted July 20, 2025).
The following day, the press office addressed two separate incidents involving undocumented immigrants. On July 21, it stated: ” Illegal Alien is in Custody after he shot a CBP Officer in New York City. This Dominican national re-entered our country illegally under President Biden and has a lengthy criminal history. These criminals have invaded our country and are now attacking our officers; they” (posted July 21, 2025).
Shortly after, another tweet described an attempted kidnapping: “An illegal alien was caught in an attempted kidnapping of a woman. – ‘Authorities found the woman locked in a closet of the man’s home.’ If you guessed that he’s from Honduras and re-entered the country illegally under Biden, you’d be correct.” (posted July 21, 2025).
Wesley Hunt has served as the U.S. Representative for Texas’s 38th District since 2023. He was born in Houston in 1981 and continues to reside there.
