Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office, representing Texas’s 38th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, published a series of posts on September 10, 2025, addressing recent law enforcement actions against drug trafficking and immigration violations, as well as commenting on Vice President Kamala Harris’s statements regarding border policy.
In a post at 14:08 UTC, the press office stated: “Narco Terrorism doesn’t stand a chance against the Trump admin. DHS captured, burned, and sank a drug boat, apprehending seven cartel members attempting to smuggle narcotics into the U.S.”
Shortly after, at 14:24 UTC, another update highlighted immigration enforcement activities in Houston: “MASSIVE deportation operation conducted by ICE Houston, arresting 800+ criminals. Among those arrested were convicted murderers, gang members, child predators, and foreign fugitives. ICE targets the worst of the worst.”
Later that afternoon at 16:25 UTC, Rep. Hunt’s office addressed comments made by Vice President Kamala Harris about border security responsibilities: “Kamala Harris blames Republicans for her border failures after seeing the popularity of Trump’s immigration crackdown. Stating that the Biden admin ‘absolutely demanded bipartisan cooperation,’ to be successful. FALSE. Trump had no bipartisan support yet he has been successful.”
Wesley Hunt was born in Houston in 1981 and continues to reside there. He secured his seat in Congress after winning elections in both 2022 and 2024 with more than sixty percent of votes each time against Duncan Klussmann and Melissa McDonough respectively.
