Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office, representing Texas’s 38th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, posted a series of tweets on July 17, 2025, highlighting recent actions by federal immigration authorities and commenting on national policy issues.

In a tweet published at 18:06 UTC, the press office stated: ” ICE ARRESTS IN HOUSTON – 1300 Criminal Aliens have been apprehended by our officers.

Arrests include:
– 32 Child Predators
– 9 Murderers
– 16 Gang or Cartel Members
– 1 Man who high jacked a plane.

Keep up the great work, DHS.” The post referenced enforcement actions in Houston involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Shortly after, at 18:07 UTC, another tweet from the same account read: ” Thousands and Thousands of arrests in the month of June – and they’re happening all over the country.

The Men and Women of ICE continue to work hard for the American people by keeping us safe.

Thank God we have a President who is prioritizing the lives of Americans.”

Later that day at 18:24 UTC, Rep. Hunt’s office addressed healthcare policy regarding minors, stating: “The President has been unequivocal in his position on sex changes and the use of puberty blockers for minors.

No hospital, clinic, or physician should be offering these interventions to children. Any medical professional who defies President Trump’s directive banning these”

Wesley Hunt was born in Houston in 1981 and continues to reside there. As a member of Congress since 2023, he represents Texas’s newly created 38th District.

These statements come amid ongoing national debates over immigration enforcement and healthcare policies affecting minors.
