Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office recently posted a series of tweets highlighting law enforcement actions in Houston and reflecting on American values. The posts, published on July 28 and July 29, addressed the arrest of child sex offenders and commemorated the anniversary of Congress adopting the Pledge of Allegiance.
On July 28, the account stated, “214 child sex offenders arrested in Houston by ICE. This is what law & order looks like. Tip of the cap to our brave ICE agents, and to President Trump for leading the mission to clean up our streets and protect our kids. This is what 77 million Americans voted for!” The tweet recognized Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents as well as former President Donald Trump for their roles in these efforts.
A subsequent post on July 28 included only a link: “https://t.co/jnIlJIK2l0”.
On July 29, another tweet from the office reflected on national unity: “In 1942, Congress formally adopted the Pledge of Allegiance, uniting Americans in a shared commitment to our country and its values. A simple yet powerful reminder of the principles that make America strong—freedom, unity, and justice for all. Happy American Pride Month!”
