Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office has recently highlighted law enforcement actions and immigration issues in a series of posts on X, focusing on drug interdiction efforts, prison security measures, and public protests.
On September 3, 2025, the office posted about a major narcotics operation: “Judge Jeanine Pirro announced a huge drug bust of $500 million and 300kg worth of chemicals used to make meth. 2 ships and 6 containers were seized in the largest bust of meth chemicals by U.S. law enforcement. This is a result of Trump’s crackdown on cartels.”
Later that day, another post referenced developments at a Louisiana correctional facility: “Louisiana lockdown! DHS’s largest maximum security prison now holds the ‘worst of the worst.’ One illegal Honduran has been charged with MORE than 400 charges including rape and battery. ICE continues to fight for Americans.”
On September 4, 2025, the account commented on demonstrations against federal immigration enforcement: “Anti-I.C.E. protest’s erupt in liberal states as law enforcement arrests more criminals off the streets. Protestors chant ‘We got the guillotine,’ in Portland. This is unacceptable and Dems should not be encouraging this sort of behavior.”
Wesley Hunt has served as U.S. Representative for Texas’s 38th District since 2023 after winning elections in both 2022 and 2024 by significant margins over his opponents Duncan Klussmann and Melissa McDonough respectively. Born in Houston in 1981, Hunt continues to reside there while representing his district.
