Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office, representing Texas’s 38th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, published a series of posts on August 28, 2025, highlighting recent developments regarding crime rates, federal intervention proposals in Chicago, and national gas prices.
In a post from August 28 at 11:50 a.m., the office stated: “President Trump cleaned up DC so well that even MSNBC and Democrats are forced to admit it: Crime is DOWN. When your biggest critics are clapping, you know you’ve delivered. https://t.co/tcKtrvlklR”
Later that day at 3:31 p.m., another message referenced potential federal action in Chicago and reactions from state leadership: “As Trump floats around the idea of sending the National Guard to Chicago, Gov. Pritzker throws a fit on social media! But when the people of Chicago are asked what they think—they welcome Trump’s crackdown on crime. https://t.co/X0XiumHeLE”
At 4:38 p.m., the press office commented on economic conditions ahead of Labor Day: “To celebrate Labor Day gas prices are forecasted to be the lowest since 2020! Average gas price across the country is $3.15 per gallon, which is 14 cents LOWER than in 2024. In addition airfare is 6% lower for those wanting to squeeze in some last minute travel. Promises Kept! https://t.co/1A4D1fSPjm”
