Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office, the communications team for U.S. Congressman Wesley Hunt, has released a series of tweets addressing recent events in Los Angeles. The tweets focus on the response to unrest and actions taken by political leaders.

On June 8, 2025, the office posted a tweet regarding the situation in Los Angeles: ” CHAOS in Los Angeles: Since Karen Bass refuses to lead, the NATIONAL GUARD will be on the ground. President Trump is stepping in to restore order—and his mass deportation mission will not be stopped by radical leftists running sanctuary cities into the ground.” This tweet highlights former President Trump’s intervention amidst claims of chaos due to leadership issues.

A subsequent tweet on June 9, 2025, from Rep. Hunt’s office stated: ” BREAKING: Democrats DOUBLE DOWN on DELUSION as LA descends into chaos! Riots rage, streets burn—and instead of taking responsibility, Democrat leaders are blaming Trump for the anarchy THEY fueled with years of soft-on-crime sanctuary policies.” The statement accuses Democratic leaders of exacerbating the situation through their policies while shifting blame onto Trump.

On the same day, another message was shared asserting decisive action by Trump’s administration: ” Enough is ENOUGH! The Trump administration will CRUSH the violent mobs targeting ICE agents and law enforcement! Burning flags, smashing windows, torching cars—this isn’t “peaceful protest,” it’s domestic terror.” This post condemns violent acts during protests and underscores a strong governmental response.

Congressman Wesley Hunt represents Texas’s 38th District since 2023 and was born in Houston in 1981 where he currently resides.
