Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office shared a series of posts on social media highlighting law enforcement actions against gang members, polling on crime issues, and recent policy developments involving the U.S. and Mexico.

On August 13, 2025, the office posted: “In NY, ICE busts 3 MS-13 gang members. Two of these entered under the Biden administration, and the third under the Obama administration. Together the 3 have been charged with 14 attempted murder charges and 49 counts of assault. These are the individuals ICE is going after.”

The following day, August 14, a post referenced recent polling data: “CNN reports President Trump’s approval rating on crime is astronomically better than Joe Biden’s. Americans want to clean up crime despite what Dems say—this is what Americans voted for. Promises made. Promises Kept!”

Later that same day, another message addressed U.S.-Mexico cooperation: “Cartel Crackdown: Trump Strikes Back! President Trump just secured a game-changing deal with Mexico to bring cartel kingpins to justice. No more hiding, no more immunity.  The days of these deadly criminals running free are numbered.”

Wesley Hunt has represented Texas’s 38th District in Congress since 2023 after defeating Duncan Klussmann in the 2022 general election with approximately 63% of the vote and Melissa McDonough in 2024 with nearly 63% support as well. Born in Houston in 1981, Hunt continues to reside there while serving his district.
