Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office has recently addressed several topics on social media, including healthcare spending in California, law enforcement efforts in Memphis, and legal issues involving a school superintendent.
On October 2, 2025, the press office stated: “Reality check: In California for the last 2 years Gov. Newsom spent $22 billion on healthcare for illegal immigrants and then ran to President Trump asking for a bailout. Americans cannot afford to pay for Illegal immigrant healthcare. PERIOD.”
The following day, an update was provided regarding law enforcement activity in Tennessee: “The Memphis Crime Crackdown is underway, and in the first days, 93 arrests have been made and 28 illegal guns have been seized. Residents are thrilled that action is being taken to create safer communities.” This post highlighted early results from an ongoing crime initiative.
Also on October 3, another post discussed allegations against a school official: “The Des Moines superintendent now faces federal charges for illegally possessing multiple guns. It was also revealed that he lied about his education, refused to attend his immigration court hearing, and has a prior criminal record.”
Wesley Hunt has served as the U.S. Representative for Texas’s 38th District since 2023. He was born in Houston in 1981 and currently resides there. Hunt won his most recent re-election in 2024 against Melissa McDonough with nearly 63% of the vote.
