Congressman Wesley Hunt’s press office recently shared updates on social media, including details about an upcoming community event and a response to a violent incident at a Texas ICE facility.

On September 23, 2025, the press office announced, “Congressman Hunt will be hosting a Passport application event with LoneStar Tomball Library on September 26th, from 9am to 3pm. We encourage the public to routinely check their passport expiration and remember to apply 6-9 months ahead of time. We look forward to seeing you!” The tweet provided logistical information for constituents interested in applying for or renewing passports.

On September 24, the press office addressed an incident involving violence at an immigration facility in Texas. The post stated, “Another violent attack on a Texas ICE facility. Multiple people have been shot as they were unloading detainees. Sending prayers to all those injured in this attack.”

Wesley Hunt has represented Texas’s 38th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023 and resides in Houston, Texas. He was born in Houston in 1981 and is currently 41 years old. In recent elections, Hunt secured victories over Duncan Klussmann in 2022 and Melissa McDonough in 2024, receiving more than sixty percent of the vote each time.
