Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office shared a series of posts on September 12, 2025, addressing national security measures in Memphis, political rhetoric following a murder, and a new congressional aide program.

In the first post at 16:26 UTC, the office stated, “We’re going to Memphis.” This morning Trump declared he would send the Nation Guard into Memphis after the brutal killing of 4 innocent children. These criminals will be stopped. Crime must be put to an end.

Later that day at 16:55 UTC, another message criticized prominent figures and media outlets for their response to a recent murder: Ilhan Omar, Elizabeth Warren, CBS and MSNBC waste no time blaming republicans and Charlie Kirk for his own murder. Democrats are celebrating the death of a human being. It is disgusting and there is no excuse for this sort of evil rhetoric. They should be ashamed.

At 18:26 UTC, Rep. Hunt’s office announced an opportunity for veterans and military families: The Green and Gold Congressional Aide Program with the Office of Congressman Wesley Hunt is now accepting applications. This position is available to Veterans, Gold Star family members, and Active-duty spouses desiring to serve a two-year paid Congressional Fellowship as part.

Wesley Hunt has represented Texas’s 38th District in Congress since 2023 after winning elections in both 2022 and 2024 by significant margins over Duncan Klussmann and Melissa McDonough respectively. Born in Houston in 1981, Hunt continues to reside in his hometown while serving as a member of Congress.
