Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office, the official communications account for U.S. Congressman Wesley Hunt of Texas’s 38th District, recently posted a series of tweets addressing immigration enforcement, economic performance under former President Trump, and the status of federal electric vehicle infrastructure initiatives.
On August 11, 2025, the office tweeted about an incident involving a Guatemalan national charged with sex crimes in Rhode Island: “Detainer ignored for a Guatemalan illegal alien who was charged with sex crimes against a minor in Rhode Island. The dereliction of duty from democrat leaders continues to put American families and children at risk. Enough is Enough!”
The following day, on August 12, 2025, the account commented on stock market performance and former President Trump’s economic policies: “NASDAQ SMASHES ALL-TIME HIGH! President Trump is CRUSHING IT, turbocharging America’s economy and FIXING the Bidenomics disaster that wrecked us all. Promises MADE. Promises KEPT. Who’s ready for MORE winning?”
Later that same day, another tweet addressed federal spending on electric vehicle infrastructure: “In 2021 Congress approved $7.5 Billion for Biden-era EV plan. In 4 years this plan has produced less than 400 infrastructures. President Trump is scrapping Biden’s failed plan and cutting red tape.”
Wesley Hunt has represented Texas’s 38th District in Congress since 2023 after winning election victories in both 2022 and 2024.
In the most recent general election held in 2024, he defeated Melissa McDonough with nearly 63% of the vote.
He previously won his seat by defeating Duncan Klussmann in the 2022 election.
Born in Houston in 1981, Hunt currently resides there while serving his constituents.
