Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office, representing Texas’s 38th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, posted a series of tweets between July 18 and July 20, 2025, addressing both current immigration enforcement and historic moments in American sports.
On July 18, Rep. Hunt’s press office wrote: “ICE is enforcing the law that has been implemented by Congress. As President Trump has said many times —if you put your hands on an ICE agent you WILL be arrested and prosecuted. Its over. You harm ICE agents, you go to jail.”
Later that day, the account commemorated Jackie Robinson’s breaking of Major League Baseball’s color barrier: “On April 15, 1947, Jackie Robinson made history by breaking Major League Baseball’s color barrier with his debut for the Brooklyn Dodgers. On July 20, another tweet highlighted Jesse Owens’ achievements at the Berlin Olympics: “In the summer of 1936, the Olympic Games were held in Berlin, Germany, where American athlete Jesse Owens captured four gold medals. His victories were more than a triumph of athletic excellence—they were a stunning testament to America’s unbreakable spirit and a bold rebuke of”
Wesley Hunt was born in Houston in 1981 and continues to reside there at age 41. He has served as a member of Congress since January 2023.
