Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office, representing Texas’s 38th District since 2023, recently issued a series of statements on social media addressing issues related to immigration enforcement and Medicaid enrollment. The posts reflect the congressman’s ongoing focus on law enforcement support and public benefit oversight.
On July 15, 2025, Rep. Hunt’s press office criticized remarks made by a Rhode Island State Representative regarding U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The statement read: “Rhode Island State Representative compares ICE to Nazis—continuing to spread anti-ICE propaganda. THIS is the rhetoric of the left, and it’s endangering the lives of law enforcement!”
Later that day, Rep. Hunt called for greater transparency from New York Governor Kathy Hochul concerning Medicaid enrollment data. He stated: “Congressman Hunt calls on Governor Hochul of New York to submit an audit revealing those enrolled in Medicaid. Including the number of illegal immigrants enrolled that have been receiving benefits intended for Americans. Medicaid is vital to hard working Americans who need”
