Rep. Wesley Hunt’s press office posted a series of statements on September 12, 2025, regarding the murder of Charlie Kirk and the arrest of Tyler Robinson. The posts addressed the incident, called for an end to violence, and expressed gratitude to law enforcement.

In a tweet published at 14:13 UTC, Rep. Hunt’s press office stated: “Tyler Robinson has been turned in for the murder of Charlie Kirk. And Justice will be served. We must put an end to this violence.”

At 14:26 UTC, another message followed expressing condolences and appreciation for authorities: “We must continue to think of and pray for Charlie, his family, friends and all of those he influenced. Thank you to law enforcement for their deligent work and endless commitment to seek justice.”

A third post at 14:37 UTC emphasized unity in difficult times: “In times like these, it’s important to stay grounded, hug your families, laugh with friends, do not lose hope. We must learn to embrace our differences, NOT choose violence to silence those we disagree with.”

Wesley Hunt has represented Texas’s 38th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023 after winning elections in both 2022 and 2024 by significant margins over Duncan Klussmann and Melissa McDonough respectively. Born in Houston in 1981, Hunt continues to reside there while serving his district.
