In a tweet on April 2, 2025, Crenshaw addressed Senate procedures, defining what constitutes a filibuster. He stated, “Civics 101: it’s not a filibuster unless you are blocking legislation. This is just the longest speech-for-no-reason, in Senate history.” The comment was aimed at clarifying misconceptions about legislative tactics in the U.S. Senate.
Later the same day, Crenshaw posted about media coverage of hostage situations. Referring to an alleged instance of starvation by terrorists, he criticized CBS’s coverage with the post, “Hostage: I was starved by terrorists. CBS: were you tho?”, suggesting skepticism about the media’s portrayal of such incidents.
In another tweet, he commemorated the 20th anniversary of Pope John Paul II’s passing, recalling the late Pope’s friendship with President Reagan.
