Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a U.S. congressman representing Texas’ 2nd District since 2019, has recently taken to social media to express his views on various issues. Crenshaw, born in Aberdeen, Scotland, and currently residing in Humble, has had a continuous political career since replacing Ted Poe. He graduated from Tufts University in 2006 with a BA.
On April 9, 2025, Crenshaw reported that “The cartels turned a rehab center into a warzone.” He detailed that Mexico’s Secretariat of Security spokesperson, Omar Hamid Garcia Harfuch, announced that the “Los Chapitos” faction of the Sinaloa cartel carried out an attack on a facility in Culiacán. The incident resulted in nine deaths, five injuries, and the abduction of the owner Guillermo Rodríguez Gaxiola, who was later found.
Later that same day, on April 9, 2025, Crenshaw praised the efforts in “Extraditions of narcos.” He commended the collaboration between the Trump Administration and Mexico in facilitating these extraditions.
On April 10, 2025, Crenshaw addressed misleading media narratives about the SAVE Act. He stated, “You may have seen some headlines today claiming the SAVE Act—which just passed the House—will stop married women from voting and “disenfranchise millions of voters.” That’s nonsense.” Crenshaw refuted claims that the new legislation would prevent women who change their last name after marriage from voting.
Dan Crenshaw, 39, continues his legislative work in the U.S. Congress. He is currently focused on issues such as narcotic trafficking and voting rights.
