Rep. Dan Crenshaw, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 2nd district, shared his perspectives on international relations and security concerns via social media. The posts focus on Iran’s actions and their implications for the United States and its allies.
On June 17, 2025, Crenshaw emphasized the importance of supporting presidential decisions amidst ongoing crises involving Iran. He stated, “Excellent points. We need to be ready to trust and support the President’s decision. We didn’t create this crisis. Israel didn’t create this crisis. The Iranian regime has been creating this crisis for decades.”
Later that day, he highlighted past threats from Iran towards American leadership, specifically mentioning a thwarted assassination attempt against former President Trump by Iran in 2022. He remarked, “Iran doesn’t just chant ‘Death to America.’ In 2022, they publicly fantasized about assassinating President Trump… Last year, the DOJ thwarted an attempt by Iran to kill him.”
In another post on June 17, Crenshaw addressed Senator Bernie Sanders directly regarding Iranian military actions against Israel. He noted, “Sorry Bernie maybe you missed the two massive waves of drone and missile attacks launched by Iran against Israel last year? But let’s not let simple facts get in the way of your foolish narratives.”
Crenshaw was born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984 and resides in Humble. He has served as a U.S. Congressman since replacing Ted Poe in 2019 after graduating from Tufts University with a BA in 2006.
