Rep. Dan Crenshaw, who represents Texas’ 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, has shared his views on recent legislative and policy matters through a series of tweets. His comments focus on issues related to gender ideology and economic policies impacting energy prices.

On December 10, 2024, Rep. Crenshaw tweeted about two significant actions he supports regarding gender ideology: “Two potentially huge blows to the radical gender ideology agenda: 1. Immediately put my bill H.R. 3887 on floor for a vote. It passed out of committee months ago. Defunding children’s hospitals that transition minors should have happened by now.”

In another tweet posted on December 11, 2024, Rep. Crenshaw criticized California’s approach to managing elevated prices with regulatory measures: “Instead of addressing these elevated prices through free-market solutions, Gavin Newsom and the state legislature doubled down with ABX2-1. This new law gives regulators even more control over refineries.” He argued that this approach results in high compliance costs affecting companies like Phillips 66.

Continuing his critique on the same day, Rep. Crenshaw highlighted California’s regulatory environment concerning fossil fuels: “The state imposes some of the most anti-fossil fuel regulations in the nation.” He pointed out how these regulations lead to increased costs for refineries which are ultimately passed on to consumers.
